Chrisanne have designed dresses for several high profile contestants for the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing show and their apparel has featured in many newspapers and fashion magazines. However, not all the staff are designers or dressmakers – they also have a sales team, customer service staff and a logistic/warehouse department.
The company was aware that several staff required formal training in IT and this is where South Thames College was able to help through the Skills Support for the Workforce programme.
Lukasz Ziolkowski works in the logistic/warehouse department. Lukasz wanted to develop his IT skills so he could use Microsoft Excel fluently on a daily basis at work.
His colleague, Ekaterina Fedorenko, is in the sales team in a business development role and is hoping to become a sales manager in the future and wanted to improve her basic IT skills.
Lukasz and Ekaterina completed a Level 1 Spreadsheet course and have been awarded their qualifications and are now using their new skills at work.
Chrisanne’s Human Resources Manager, Jane Goffin, had been South Thames College’s contact and had helped set the training up. After the course had completed, Jane sent the following comment to South Thames College:
“I just wanted to let you know that I received very good feedback from Ekaterina and Lukasz following their Spreadsheet course last week. They found the tutor to be excellent and very helpful; he even spoke a little Russian which impressed Ekaterina! Many Thanks”. Jane Goffin, HR Manager, Chrisanne
