Thanks to the Skills Support for the Workforce project, Samantha Salahi from Friday Hill joined a six week Customer Service course at the Barking Learning Centre where she learnt the principles and benefits of superior customer service. She started at Friday Hill as an apprentice and is keen to improve her skills – she is the first to put her hand up when a course is offered.
The Managing Director of Friday Hill TMO, Jeremy Carson, has observed a marked improvement in how Samantha relates to customers. She is much more confident in dealing with customers and demonstrates confidence when dealing with a challenging customer. Both Samantha and Jeremy agree that attending the course was a good use of her time and will be beneficial to the organisation.
The next step is an IT course for Samantha. The plan is for her to be trained in Microsoft packages and Outlook so she can take her knowledge back to Friday Hill TMO and share it with the rest of the team.
