The course, funded by Skills Support for the Workforce, was designed to include the standard customer service skills, including recognising the needs and expectations of different customers, listening carefully to customers and resolving customer complaints. However, the course also had added benefits for the group of learners – they came from various businesses and learnt from each other the services and products offered in different pharmacies.
On the last day, Barking & Dagenham College’s Christie Anayiotou and Justine Guynan paid a visit to the Barking Learning Centre to catch up with the learners and to find out what they had learnt from the course – here are just some of the comments.
“I would recommend this course to people who have worked for a long time to brush-up on their skills and for new employees to learn about the industry”.
“The qualification will demonstrate to employers that I am serious about customer service”.
“The skills I have learnt will help me to serve customers better and teach other staff – all good for my career”.
